Now, don't get me wrong, Port Credit's Adamson Estate is a Beautiful Mansion on a breathtaking lakefront property that has much to admire, but somebody's gotta say it… NOT AGAIN!!!
As far as western Toronto, Mississauga, Brampton and Burlington, the estate is by far the most OVER used photography / videography location chosen. A wedding…YOUR wedding, is a one if a lifetime event, one of the most memorable days of your life, something you will never forget, its uniquely you and your family's special day. One of the most profound events of your life.
All of this is so obvious yet couple pay thousands of dollars for a photographer and or videographer to shoot a location that, besides the color of the bridesmaids dresses, look EXACTLY the same. Same mansion, same barn, same lake perspective, same vegetation, same….whatever.
That being said, I'm obviously exaggerating a bit. Every photo or video pro has their own style, set-ups, and their methods for how they utilize the location chosen for them. But the obvious questions to ask yourself is why not use your vendor's talent in a unique locations specific to your wedding. This could even be a restaurant, park, or anyplace significant to your relationship.
In my opinion , the shoot location should in some way, no matter how small, reflect the couples personalities and say something about who they are.
